Every new member starts at Alliance Rank 1, Page. In an attempt to get members to read this website, if another player asks how to rank up in chat, please direct them here (JacksAndQueens.com) rather than fully explain.
The rules to advance to Rank 2 are fairly simple: change your Monarch's name* to something other than the default "Monarch#," donate to the research task in Current Goals, and message my Monarch 6EBeast with in-game mail** titled "Rank Up." I will check your name and donation and rank you up to Squire.
*to change your Monarch's name, tap their portrait in the top left corner, then tap towards the top where it says "Lvl# Monarch#"
**to send in-game mail, tap the envelope in the bottom left corner, then tap the feather quill near the top right.
If you would like to take a more active role in Jacks and Queens, you can apply to become a Knight. Knights look after new Pages and Squires and are allowed to warn and demote other members for breaking the Rules of the alliance. If you are interested in this role, I recommend being very active in the guild, particularly by helping out newer players by answering questions. You must be an active member in good standing with Jacks and Queens for no less than one week before being considered for the role of Knight. If you would like to apply, send an in-game mail to 6EBeast with a brief explanation of why you feel you are a good fit for the role.
Rank 4 bestows the title of Liege. In addition to the responsibilities of a Knight, Lieges have access to all alliance buildings and can spend and allocate the JaQs' resources. This role will only be given to members deemed trustworthy. If you are interested in this role, I recommend being very active in the guild, donating, and chatting with members. You must be an active member in good standing with Jacks and Queens for no less than two weeks before being considered for the role of Liege. If you would like to apply, send an in-game mail to 6EBeast with a brief explanation of why you feel you are a good fit for the role.
